Walter J. Sawicki
Mr. Sawicki has a broad range of business litigation experience in state and federal court and various arbitration tribunals including FINRA, AAA and JAMS. He has handled numerous types of matters over his extensive litigation career, including defending employers in employment litigation and regulatory actions, handling securities arbitration and litigation matters, multi-district complex litigation, real estate, insurance and bankruptcy creditor litigation. Mr. Sawicki is admitted in the District Courts in the Central and Eastern Districts of California, as well as the Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel. After law school, Mr. Sawicki clerked on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals for the Hon. Cynthia Holcomb Hall.
Mr. Sawicki obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy with high honors from Columbia University. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California, graduating Order of the Coif.
Honors and Activities
During law school, Mr. Sawicki was a member of the Southern California Law Review. He also clerked for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. Each year, Mr. Sawicki serves as a mock trial judge for the Loyola Law School National Civil Trial Competition.
